Wrestling Summer Programs
Wrestling Summer Programs are offered by colleges, universities and specialized camps. Pre-college students from beginner to advanced can participate in this grueling contact sport. Programs are typically for boys and provide participants with expert coaches who give group and one-on-one instruction. Training typically centers around the main styles of freestyle, Greco-Roman, and Folkstyle (Collegiate). There is also technical instruction in areas such as stance, motion, level change, penetration, lifting, back step and back arch. In addition to wrestling skills, participants get a strong dose of confidence, strength, agility, sportsmanship, and coordination. Residential and day sessions are available. Some programs also offer extracurricular activities, including swimming, hiking, camping, canoeing, softball, soccer and other sports.
