Video Gaming Summer Programs
Students can plug in to all of the ways video games are designed, created, tested and produced by enrolling in Video Gaming Summer Programs. Expert faculty and industry professionals mentor and mobilize students through the process of understanding the basics of game development, creating artwork, coding and producing audio, and working with an interdisciplinary team to complete a final product. Game academies and camps are typically held at university campuses. Students can commute to programs or stay overnight, taking advantage of both academic facilities for gaming education and the college environment for social bonding. As part of the programs, students learn a wide variety of subjects such as digital media, 3D modeling, 2D game development, visual programming, photoshop, level design, virtual reality, C++, source control and game mechanics.
