Surfing Summer Programs
Pre-college students of all ages, skills and genders can enjoy the healthy, emotionally and physically stimulating sport of surfing during a summer program hosted in the United States or abroad. Participants can travel to California or Hawaii to learn to surf and explore wildlife, study ecology, conservation and marine biology. Some programs are focused solely on surfing, while others wrap in more educational opportunities and activities such as hiking, rafting and camping. Enrolling in day or overnight Surfing Summer Programs allows boys and girls to build their abilities such as swimming, coordination, balance, strength, cardio, confidence and patience. Additional training includes learning how to read the waves, take a bottom turn, carve and cutback. Students can enjoy surfing in international locations like Costa Rica, Spain and Mexico.
