Management Summer Programs
Students seeking to take on leadership responsibilities in a range of academic, non-profit, government or business sectors can enroll in a variety of Management Summer Programs. Colleges and institutes offer management courses for pre-college students in business, sports, entertainment, hospitality and other fields. Program participants learn the fundamentals of management, including organizational skills, planning and strategy, communication and people management. Guided by college faculty or instructors drawn from industry, students build on these basic skills through coursework, team projects and internships in the field. Regardless of the industry that is the focus of the program, students are also oriented to key categories that management professionals must have knowledge of, such as financial, technological, personnel and natural resources. Typically coed, these programs are available as residential or commuter options.
