Boxing Summer Programs
Boxing Summer Programs teach self-confidence and athletic skills that can accompany middle and high school students as they participate in all types of sports and venture into college and careers. Day camps, college campus settings and overnight programs all provide participants with expert instruction in this ancient sport. Participants of all ability levels can learn the history of boxing, from its origins in Ancient Greece to its modern, worldwide success as part of the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and professional contests in the United States and abroad. Fitness is stressed, along with learning skills such as eye, hand and foot coordination, combination punching, and the primary styles of boxing. Boys and girls can participate in these summer programs, typically held as day sessions.
