Red Oak Recovery® programs are clinically focused, trauma-informed, and gender specific programs designed for the young adults, 18-35, and adolescent males, 14-17, struggling with trauma, substance abuse, and co-occurring mental health issues.
Red Oak Recovery® is our young adult male program, ages 18-30. Our Men's Program focuses on the unique needs of young men in early recovery. In addition to therapy, our young men will learn about what triggers and motivates them to use substances in the first place, and will work to develop new healthy coping strategies and positive skills for recovery and relapse prevention. We believe that recovery from addiction necessitates something to replace the hours spent using and seeking drugs and alcohol. For this reason, part of the goal of our Therapeutic Adventure-Based Journeys is to learn how to have fun in sobriety. Our young men have the opportunity each weekend to embark on a different Journey: fly fishing, rock climbing, backpacking, and rafting (to name a few). Each experience offers both therapeutic and recreational opportunities for learning and adventure.
The Willows at Red Oak Recovery® is our young adult women program, ages 18-35. At The Willows, we address trauma alongside of substance abuse and mental health to help women overcome underlying issues fueling self-destructive behaviors. Our trauma-informed treatment program utilizes an integrated approach – based on theory, research, and clinical experience. Our program is centered on providing freedom from the destructive thoughts, actions, and self-sabotage that stem from trauma. Our safe and supportive environment helps women as they learn to address the past and move forward.
Foothills at Red Oak Recovery is our adolescent program for boys 14-17. Foothills is located on a 94-acre horse farm with long-range mountain views, equine therapy, nutritional education, adventure and experiential therapies, and animal husbandry complement clinically intensive programming. Healing the entire family system is a crucial element, and an emotionally focused Family Program is incorporated to provide healing and growth for the entire family unit.
