The 2018 Guide to Performing & Visual Arts Colleges
Posted September 25, 2018, 12:00 pm byIt’s hard work being a high school student interested in the arts. It takes a lot of energy to be creative. Then, there’s the discipline of portfolios or recitals or auditions, or posting to your YouTube channel. Applying to college becomes one more stressor on the pile. It’s a lot to manage.
TeenLife Media and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) can help. The 2018 Guide to Performing and Visual Arts Colleges is a comprehensive guide for finding and applying to college arts programs, whether it’s dance or sound engineering; musical comedy or animation; fashion design or sculpture.
Founded in 1937, NACAC has 16,000 counselor and college members dedicated to helping students make informed choices about post-secondary education. At NACAC’s annual series of Performing and Visual Arts College Fairs, held in 26 locations around the country this fall, students can connect with universities, colleges, conservatories and other programs that can nurture their talents, whether it’s performance-based or working behind the scenes.
At TeenLife, we are experts in helping students connect with the schools and programs interested in recruiting students in majors such as Theater, Film, Music, Visual/Fine Arts, Dance and Photography. Besides information on schools, we have advice on how to navigate a college fair, how to finesse a double major, and how to showcase your talent by creating great content, among other topics.
You can download the latest digital version of our arts guide to get all this and more.
We count on the creators and dreamers in our lives to make life more beautiful, more exciting and more engaging. And we want you to have the time to develop your talents in the best possible way. Use our Guide to Performing and Visual Arts Colleges to plot your future.
