 September 19th (Hull): Help the World Computer Exchange with its mission to bridge the digital divide for the world's poorest youth by volunteering to pack and test computers. Saturday, October 3rd (Acton): Join a 5K walk (or run) on to raise funds to ship 400 computer sets to 20 Ghandian schools in India. October 3rd (Boston): Samaritans is looking for over 100 volunteers of all ages to staff its its annual "Run for Someone Else's Life" 5K Run/Walk and Family Fun Festival. Be part of the set-up crew, work at the registration table, help with Family Fun Activities, and more!  October 3rd (Somerville): Get involved with People Making a Difference and help kids with pumpkin carving, apple pressing, and other harvest-themed activities. Oct. 17th (South End): Love to cook? Help PMD prepare Lunch for Elders in South Boston.  October 15th (Reading): The Arc of East Middlesex, which provides support to people with developmental disabilities is looking for volunteers to help out with its Adaptive Aquatics program that teaches kids age 3-12. who has a developmental disability to swim and have fun! School-Year (Norfolk): Greenschools is seeking Student Ambassadors in Grades 7-8 to work directly with the greenschools organization on Sustainable Education. School-Year (Newton): Ever wondered how you could put your computer skills to good use? Discovering What's Next is looking for help re-designing its Web site. Achieve community service credit while building your design portfolio. School-Year (Cambridge): TLB needs middle & high school student journalists to write articles
about summer programs, after school activities & programs,
volunteer activities, cultural events, restaurants, and any other
activities or opportunities that interest families with
teens.
