Job & Internship Resources
Overview

High school students seeking jobs or internships need to be very resourceful and prepared!

In order to get a paying job, you must demonstrate that you have the skills necessary to do the job. A job can be part time, full time or project-specific.

Internships are short-term, generally unpaid, on-the-job learning experiences that allow students to broaden or narrow career options before beginning college. A growing number of high schools offer some form of off campus experiential learning option during the school year, usually to seniors. Other students seek these opportunities over the summer: see the Internship Program page, below.

Be sure to check out our Teen Help Wanted section for jobs, internships, volunteer and other opportunities for posted by our listing partners.

Summer Internship Programs
Several companies offer a service that places high school students in summer internships. These services charge a fee that ranges from $500 to $7000, depending on the location of the internship and if housing is included. In Boston, students can work with The Education Cooperative, Internship Connection or Career Explorations. Career Explorations also offers a residential option in New York City and Internship Bridge operates out of London.
